Jaume Angeles i Fite

Jaume Angelès Fité is a Catalan violinist and violist born in Barcelona in 1996. He began his music studies at ESMUC and later obtained his Master's Degree in Violin Performance at the same institution. She also completed her Master's in Viola Performance at the Hochschule für Musik FHNW Basel with teachers Silvia Simionescu and Rainer Schmidt.

 

During his career, Jaume has won several prizes in chamber music competitions, including First Prize at the 2021 Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition with the Athena Quartet, as well as a scholarship awarded by the Rahn Kulturfonds in 2021. He has also performed at prestigious festivals such as the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, the Musikdorf Ernen Festival, the Schubertíada de Vilabertran

and the Philharmonie de Paris.

 

In addition to his work with the Atenea Quartet, Jaume has participated in various academies and festivals as a violin and viola soloist, including the Pau Casals Festival, the Geneva International String Academy and the IMS Prussia Cove Masterclasses.

 

During the 2021-2022 season, Jaume has collaborated as Second Violin leader with the Sinfonietta Basel Orchestra and has been selected as Viola Academist for the Kammerorchester Basel during the 2022-2023 season.
